Keith Moore
Moore is sponsor of the annual college news conference, "How Colleges Can Obtain National (and Regional) Publicity," held each June since 1986. Hundreds of college news officers and scores of media representatives who cover higher education have attended the event since its establishment. Moore holds a Masters degree in Public Relations from American University. He attended Harvard's Institute of Educational Management and was a Fulbright fellow at England's Open University. His firm is located in Silver Spring, Md., near Washington, D.C. He is a frequent lecturer and speaker on advancement topics and has led media training sessions for academic faculty, campus administrators, government agency officials, business chief executives, scientists, physicians, athletics coaches and many non-profit executives. He spent the 1980s decade at Carnegie Mellon University, where he was vice president for university relations and later vice president for educational television. He also held several director-level positions at Georgetown University (in sports information), Virginia Tech, Western Maryland College and Loyola (La.) University. He served as special assistant to the president for communications at the University of Cincinnati. Before establishing his own business in 1991, Keith Moore was senior vice president for communications and marketing at the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) in Washington, D.C.
