The 22nd annual conference, “How Colleges Can Obtain National and Regional Publicity,” was held Tuesday and Wednesday, June 17–18, 2008 in Baltimore. This year’s conference attracted more than 190 campus media relations professionals from 37 states. It was co-hosted by the University of Maryland and the American Academic Leadership Institute.
This year’s speakers included professional journalists from the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Associated Press, NBC’s “Today Weekend Edition,” CBS’ “The Early Show,” USA Today, National Public Radio, Chronicle of Higher Education and many others.
Plans for the 2009 conference are being developed. Speakers are being invited. We expect that the exciting details will be posted after December 15, 2008.
